Welcome to Computing at The Vale!

A high-quality computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world.

Here at The Vale, we provide children with opportunities to explore the world around them through the use of a range of different technologies. Technology plays a significant role in today’s society, and so we believe that it is vital that all children are ready and capable of using it safely to enhance their learning.

Computing now encompasses three areas: Computer Science, Internet Technology and Digital Literacy. By covering all these areas, children will have a deeper understanding of how technology works and how to use it to solve problems.

At The Vale, we take online safety very seriously and work closely with children to ensure they know how to stay safe and where to report if they have any concerns. This is incorporated in Computing lessons, assemblies and other subject areas. We also hold regular Parent Workshops so we can work with parents to ensure all children are safe online.
