GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

☀️ Lunchtime fun in the juniors! ⚽🎉 Our junior playground was full of energy today with children enjoying active play, team games and lots of laughter. From matches to imaginative play and everything in between, it was wonderful to see everyone moving, socialising and making the most of the sunshine. As a brilliant follow‑on from Careers Week, our Year 5 and 6 pupils enjoyed an inspiring 'Step into the NHS day' today! They took part in online NHS sessions exploring the huge range of roles across healthcare, and then Y4, Y5 and Y6 were treated to fantastic in‑person workshops delivered by one of our wonderful parents who works within the NHS. 💙 The children left buzzing with ideas for their futures — one Year 4 pupil told me at lunchtime, “I’m going to work really hard because I want to be a doctor now!” Huge thank yous to our visiting parent and to the NHS for helping our pupils see the possibilities ahead. #CareersWeek #InspiringFutures #StepIntoTheNHS #AmbitiousForAll #InspiringAll GLF Schools GLF Schools' Foundation

Robin class were so excited and proud to invite in their mothers and those who are mothering to them to watch them doing a poem called 'I'm growing like a flower' and singing a song called 'I love you mummy!' The children performed these with such confidence and then also enjoyed sharing the portraits that they had painted of them! The afternoon finished with a tea party. This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to show appreciation and spend meaningful time with the important adults in their lives and Year 6 children to help host and give service to their community. #beingmothering #schoolcommunity #engagement #belonging #celebration #inspiringall GLF Schools

👉 Donate to the Home Start fundraiser here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/hannah-francis-2 🌟 Celebrating Character & Community at The Vale! 🌟 We are incredibly proud of one of our Year 4 pupils who is nearing the end of an inspiring fundraising challenge! After months of determination, they will complete their final 2k at the Surrey Half Marathon on Sunday 22nd March, reaching a remarkable 30k total — chosen to mark 30 years of Home Start supporting families in our local community. 💙 For those unfamiliar with Home Start Epsom, Ewell & Banstead, it’s a wonderful charity offering practical and emotional support to families going through difficult times. Their dedicated staff and volunteers run parent groups and home‑visiting support, helping children grow up happy, healthy, and confident. Since setting the challenge at the end of last year, this pupil has completed 12 runs between 2–5k and has already raised an amazing amount for the charity. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated — and to the friends who joined in on some of the runs, showing brilliant kindness, teamwork and community spirit. World Book Day at The Vale Primary School! What a fantastic day of reading, imagination and whole‑school fun as we continue our Year of Reading at The Vale! Our children loved celebrating their favourite stories and taking part in activities across the school. A huge highlight was our School Council trip to Waterstones Epsom where the children carefully chose some wonderful new books for every class.
